Icelandic rock band Reykjavík! was formed nearly two years ago by a group of fun loving philosophy students/hedonists celebrating their new found existence in Iceland’s foremost city.
Rolling Stone’s David Fricke said,
"Reykjavik!'s debut album on 12 Tonar ‘Glacial Landscapes, Religion, Oppression and Alcohol’ is a concise description of what it's like to be teenage here and why so many bands sound so good.”
The album received highest marks wherever it was reviewed, and was nominated for the Icelandic Music Awards as ‘Rock album of 2006’ and was actually selected ‘Album of 2006’ in two separate critic-polls.
